This contest aims to emphasise the importance of being a real woman and promote the image of a contemporary woman from real life as opposed to celebrity icons. We would like you to share your story with us, your achievements, career goals, favourite websites, interests and dreams. One woman will be selected each month to feature on our website and everyone is welcome to submit their profiles to take part in this contest. Real Woman of the Month - December Winner

I was born and brought up in Kingston upon Hull, close to East Yorkshire. I've had a series of interesting jobs and moved around the country a fair few times until I finally settled where I am now in Beverley, East Yorkshire. I have been into self-help books and courses since 1983 when I first read a copy of Shakti Gawain's book 'Creative Visualization'. I came across Louise Hay's 'You Can Heal Your Life' back in 1999 and within a few weeks, was attending my first Louise Hay workshop. I went on to do the Louise Hay teacher training in Ireland. Then, a year later, found myself in San Diego, California on the advanced Louise Hay teacher training course. I have read hundreds of self-help and metaphysical books and attended many different courses in my thirst for knowledge. And I have put all those years of reading and study to good use, by producing my own workshops based on a mixture of the best of the of different teachings and wisdoms available, (the ones that have helped me most.) These are all designed to help others to experience the pleasure of personal development for themselves, as well as helping them boost their confidence and self-esteem and find the answers to their life's questions. Alongside the personal development workshops, I've also developed meditation groups and now provide personal success coaching and corporate training days too. I have also received Usui/Tibetan Reiki attunements to the level of Master and it's one of my greatest pleasures to be able to give Reiki treatments and attunements. And new phase of my life has now begun, as I have also taken training in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and am now a registered EFT practitioner too. And I don't think my journey ends here. I'm sure there's more to learn yet. I don't believe we're here on this earth to suffer. I believe we're here to live a full and fantastic life and whatever self-help method I come across that works for me and helps me do this in wonderful ways, I will take and pass on to help others do the same.
